Emergency Management Board
The City of Yelm is committed to the safety and well being of our citizens by ongoing evaluation and improvement of emergency services.The Emergency Management Board prepares the city for wind and snow storms as well as power outages, earthquakes many other potential events that put our citizens at risk.
Yelm Police Chief Todd Stancil serves as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Yelm and conducts monthly meetings with the City of Yelm Emergency Management Board.
The board members consist of the City Administrator, City Mayor, Public Works Director, Building Official and the SE Thurston Fire Chief. Chief Stancil also serves as the Chair for the Thurston County Emergency Management Board.
Visit the Police Department for more information about what to do and where to go in the event of an emergency. The City of Yelm Emergency Management Board works in conjunction with Thurston County Emergency Management and Washington State Emergency Management.
