Yelm-Tenino Trail

TrailHeadThe Yelm Tenino/ Prairie Line Trail begins at 1st Street and Railway Road SE

The Yelm-Tenino/ Prairie Line Trail is a paved, pedestrian and bicycle path that begins on Yelm Avenue and travels through agricultural areas, forests, and wetlands before reaching the end point in Centralia. The Yelm-Tenino trail spans 14 miles while the 21-Mile Chehalis Western Trail intersects at the midpoint of the Yelm-Tenino Trail. The Chehalis Western Trail uses the same route of the Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. railroad, used to haul logs off for shipment in the mid-19th Century. The trail system currently links every major town in Thurston County and future extension will cross the Nisqually River into Roy.
